It is still amazing to me how little we talk and think about energy. I suspect this is because we have become so efficient at producing as much as we need to comfortably live our lives. With climate change and carbon foot print awareness now adding to the environmental concerns of many we are finally starting to see energy discussed more often.
While this is better than nothing it is also frustrating. Most of what is said and written is woefully uninformed about how energy is found, created, produced, distributed. This makes much of the discussion worse than useless. Having worked in energy and technology my whole career I hope to add something useful to the discussion with this blog and website – thinkingonenergy.com.
