- One-fourth of one percent (0.25%) of the volume-corrected (60F, 0 psig) barrels received for transportation at Origin, invoiced to Shipper to cover normal-operation pipeline loss. Overages/shortages (including the 0.25% deduction) are settled monthly against each Shipper's account, valued using Platt's Oilgram average monthly low posting of 'Estimated U.S. Gulf Coast Spot' for the relevant product classification. - About 3,150-3,180 miles (CIM Section 1 / KM website). Mainline Collins MS to Greensboro NC, with laterals to Montgomery, Birmingham, Columbus, Macon, Chattanooga, Knoxville and Roanoke; an extension to Richmond, Fredericksburg, Cockpit Point and Newington VA; and dedicated jet lines to ATL, CLT, IAD and DCA. In-transit tank farms at Baton Rouge, Collins, Helena, Bremen, Austell, Charlotte and Greensboro. Two independently operated mainlines: one gasoline/ULSD, one gasoline/jet. Control center moved from Alpharetta GA to Houston (CIM rev. 2026-01-17). The Bengal proportional feed into PPL at Baton Rouge continues under Bengal FERC 19.25.0.
- Ownership
- The Plantation system now files and operates under the name Products (SE) Pipe Line Corporation ('PPL'); every current FERC tariff and the Customer Information Manual use that name, and 'Plantation' no longer appears in them. Kinder Morgan has operated it (and owned part of it) since fall 2000 (kindermorgan.com Products page); published secondary sources give about 51% Kinder Morgan / 49% ExxonMobil (not verified against a current 10-K). Tariffs issued by Michael P. Garthwaite, President, and compiled by Kinder Morgan Inc., Houston. The Kinder Morgan tariff page lists these under 'PPL Tariffs'. Keep the canonical graph name 'Plantation Pipeline' and alias 'Products (SE) Pipe Line'.
