The west of the two refinery piers at March Point. The Coast Pilot still lists it as owned by Shell Oil, which predates the November 2021 sale to HollyFrontier.

Ownership

Texaco built the refinery and it began operating in 1958, according to the Northwest Clean Air Agency's 2021 permit papers. Texaco and Shell pooled it into Equilon Enterprises on January 1, 1998, and Shell bought Texaco's interest in April 2002. The sale to HollyFrontier was announced on May 4, 2021 and completed on November 1, 2021. HollyFrontier became HF Sinclair Corporation in 2022 after it acquired Sinclair Oil. This is the former Texaco plant on March Point. The Marathon refinery stands immediately to the north, so older documents that say Anacortes refinery can mean either plant.
