Ownership

Buckeye Partners announced in September 2014 an ~$860M deal to acquire an 80% interest in a Corpus Christi terminal complex and associated Eagle Ford gathering assets (from Trafigura's NGL/EFS Midstream), branded 'Buckeye Texas Partners' and later 'Buckeye Texas Hub'. A 50,000 bpd condensate splitter was under construction at the time and began operating under a 7-year fixed-fee tolling agreement with Trafigura AG around mid-2015. Buckeye also owns 50% of the adjacent South Texas Gateway Terminal deep-water export JV with Phillips 66 and Andeavor/Marathon (announced 2018), a related but legally separate facility. IFM Investors acquired 100% of Buckeye Partners, L.P. in November 2019 (~$10.3B deal), making Buckeye a private company; this is well-established public knowledge but was not re-confirmed by a live source this session.
