A 2018 London Economics International study says the refinery's heavy crude is supplied by the Mid-Valley pipeline from Lima.

crude in pipeline Enbridge Line 78
The same 2018 study says heavy crude reaches the refinery by pipeline from the Enbridge system via Line 78. It does not name the connecting line from the Enbridge system into the plant.

crude in pipeline Enbridge Line 5 (via Marysville pumping station and Sunoco pipeline to the Toledo area)
Wikipedia's Enbridge Line 5 article names BP Husky as a Toledo-area refinery receiving volumes offloaded at the Marysville pumping station and moved on a Sunoco pipeline to Toledo. The 2018 London Economics International study says heavy crude is not carried on Line 5, so this would be a light crude route. Wikipedia is the only source for it, which is weak.

Buckeye's Directory of Connecting Facilities by Location, updated November 2024, lists Cenovus Refining Company LLC as a connecting facility under Toledo. It does not say whether the tie is at the plant or through a station, and it does not list products.

Events

Outages, fires, turnarounds, sales and closures — newest first.
  1. 2023-05 outage

Restarted the larger ~120,000 bpd crude unit, returning toward full operations. source

  2. 2023-04 outage

Restarted a smaller ~30,000 bpd crude unit following the 2022 explosion-driven shutdown. source

  3. 2023-02-28 sale

Cenovus (via Husky Oil Toledo Company) closed its purchase of bp's 50% interest in the BP-Husky joint venture for approximately US$370 million, becoming 100% owner and operator; the entity was renamed Ohio Refining Company LLC. source

  4. 2022-09 fire

Fatal naphtha release and fire killed two workers and forced a shutdown of the refinery; investigated by the U.S. Chemical Safety Board. source

Rates are pipeline line-haul transcribed from published FERC tariffs; every figure cites its tariff and item. Cost to serve (netback) adds origin spot price and destination fees. "Confirmed" links match a tariff delivery point to the facility; "same city" means the point is in the facility's city — plausible, not proof; "per research" means the facility's research profile names the pipeline as an outlet.
