Kinder Morgan CO2 describes the Wink Pipeline System as a 450-mile Texas intrastate crude oil line running from its SACROC unit and McCamey to a terminal in Wink and a refinery in El Paso. Kinder Morgan's Pacific Operations brochure of March 2025 shows Marathon El Paso as an input to El Paso Station, which feeds the El Paso Breakout at the start of the East Line to Tucson and Phoenix, AZ. The SFPP East Line tariff names El Paso as the origin and makes the shipper responsible for delivering product to it.     Reporting describes a $130 million turnaround completed/underway at the Marathon El Paso refinery. source

    Marathon began shutting down units at the refinery after a failure of the main fractionator reflux pump. source

    A third-party power outage triggered a five-hour flaring incident (three stacks) and a facility-wide shutdown; the refinery released 501 lbs of sulfur dioxide at 100% opacity; no injuries; nearby residents reported large smoke/fire plumes and said they were not alerted, prompting a community fact-check by El Paso Matters. source

    Marathon conducted a plant-wide maintenance turnaround at the 56,000 bpd El Paso North Refinery unit, expected to wrap up within the week. source
